If Southerton pool wasn't neglected all the past years maybe it wouldn't need the repairs it does as well as the tennis courts and everything else the contractor touched. Have not been here in a while but a friend sent me the other blog. So I read it and put a post on. It probably will not be on. So I will ask the following question. Can somebody define the term as it refers to me "Absentee Landlord" As I stated on that other blog that is loaded with legal scholars and supports the greatest scholar of all. The person with an adult paid education in a fine facility provided by all of us. I don't understand people who complain but don't run for the board. Well maybe I do -- They loose badly when they do. They send their mothers to meetings, the same mothers who never attended a meeting when this person was on the board. I guess she thought the Escape was in good hands, her choice. Anyway I encourage all those not so happy residents, actually the few of them to run in the up-coming election, so they can offer this community all their worldly experience to our community. Maybe it would help the one they love and his return then he could afford a boat like the Absentee landlord. Right now I doubt if this person could buy a canoe. Then again he never paid for any of his old junk, we did.
Maybe the temperature of the pool would stay warmer if the heat was not turned off each day as well as cost less to in the long term. WATCH YOU MOUTH!!!
Once a pool reaches a desired temp, it takes less energy to keep it at temp by leaving the heater on. It wont cycle as much. Bring it up to temp and allowing it to cool down takes alot more energy to re heat because it takes longer to warm up. If they want to save money, purchase a floating dark blue bubble wrap solar cover over the pool at night to keep in the heat and stop evaporation loss. When the pool is not in use, it will help heat the water also. When the pool is in use, simply real up the cover. they are very inexpensive and last for years. I own a built in pool and it works for me especially in the wintertime.
Just want to report some really good news. We just signed a 10 year contract with our very competent sewer and water contractor. Seems like he will be here for generations to come.
And the people who went down to the marina area after the parade had a really great time with lots of food and things for the children to do and have fun. Thanks to all who planned it.
Joe Dirado is away the rest of this month but They are having donuts and coffee this weekend. I see a few movie nights happening which is good. Seems like more people at the pool. It was nice to see the kids Having so much fun on Saturday.

The people you wished off the Board have gone, and your favorites are running amok and costing every property owner in here money that a lot of them don't have.

The fact is the all previous boards that ignored what needed to be done at the behest of a former contractor, now they complain as if a sewer plant wells and roads would last forever. Not a bit of planning. Putting money, I mean real funds not the chump change that was put aside. The actual maintenance that needed to be done on the sewer plant for years but was ignored, just like the reserve study that was ignored. That former board paid 10,000.00 dollars and when they got the results they simply threw it in a draw and did nothing. Now The real Irony is John Mechanics who spent community money on Lawyers trying to shut down this blog comes and writes on it. John all of you were voted off because you were dishonest people who ran this community into the ground, so we are left to clean up the mess left behind and we are attempting to do so. Second, nepotism is running almost as rampant in the Escape as the desire for everyone in "power" to hump everything with a pulse. We do enjoy looking out for our "brothers" while we're banging their others, now don't we?
Third, it's bad enough that thieves and liars want to run our Nation, but do they have to be put in control of the personal lives of people that can't afford to support their greedy ways of life? It's almost as if Washington DC has relocated to Greentown.
Last, but not least, I got the Hell out of the Escape because I don't want to watch it implode and take everyone with it. No, I am not J-boy or John or Mr Mechanics or whoever the Hell you think I am. I have never been on the BOD, though I was asked several times to join up. I have simply lived in what went from being a community to being one of the biggest drug 'hoods in Pike County.
I am aware that there are several people in the Escape that would like to get out, but can't afford to. I also know these same people cannot afford to pay the extortion that the current BOD has decided to screw them out of.

I saw a former board member yesterday and they told me Anthony has resigned and that he no longer owns a home in the Escape. I went to his house it is true the person living there told me they closed on the home Friday. Another person leaves the Escape.

I want to believe I left the Escape a better place. I decided to get involved with the board some time ago when it b came apparent that former boards looked to take the easy way out and hire a contract with a T&M agreement that left us with little or no funds to put aside for what needed to be done to secure rhe infrastructure in the future. In the past we hired managers who stole, contractors who attempted to steal along with that manager but we're simply handed a deal to pay back the money he never intended to pay back. The straw that broke the camels back for me was when a former board approved and paid a bill to this former contractor of over 5000.00 dollars at a rate of 90.00 dollars an hour for a man and a chainsaw. Out and Out thievery. So the new board convened I was just a Board member then and rest assure when I thought the board president was doing what I thought was wrong, I was right in his face. The Treasurers position in the Escape is a thankless volunteer position fueled by years of underfunded liabilities such as roads and the Sewer and Water Plant. All we did was try to do a community investment for the same community that will personally benifit from all the upgrades that are being done and will be done in the future. So I wish the board and the Escape a positive future and hope that the dark days of the past are finally behind you.

The pool is still too cold durring the day for young children. But seems to change for night swimming. Why is that?????
